Berkshire Hathaway is an American holding company headquartered in Omaha, Nebraska. It acts as an asset manager for a vast number of companies in various industries. The company is a sole proprietor of such companies as GEICO, Dairy Queen, BNSF Railway, Lubrizol, Fruit of the Loom, Diamonds Helzberg, Long & Foster, FlightSafety International, Pampered Chef and NetJets, and holds 38.6% Pilot Flying, 26.7% Kraft Heinz, as well as American Express (17.15%), Coca-Cola Company (9.4%), Wells Fargo (9.9%), IBM (6.9%) and Apple (2.5%) . The RHS reported value over the past 44 years was 20.3% with a minimal debt. The Berkshire Hathaway shares grew by 76% in 2000-2010, against the overall 11.3% drop in S&P 500. 

The company is renowned for its unrelenting Chairman of the Management Board, Warren Buffett, who used the profits from Berkshire Hathaway insurance operations for investment funding. In its early periods, the Company used to specialize in long-term investments in stock exchanges, whereas in these latter days it changed its focus to purchase of companies in their entirety. According to the Forbes Global 2000 list as well as formula, Berkshire Hathaway is the third largest joint stock company in the world and the ninth largest conglomerate by revenue. According to the Forbes Global 2000 List in 2015, the company ranks fifth among the largest public companies and the first among American companies, since the first four lines are dedicated to Chinese banks.
