Timur Turlov, CEO at Freedom Holding Corp., was featured in Nasdaq TradeTalks, an online show on stock market news and trends. The show is hosted by Jill Malandrino, the Global Markets Reporter at Nasdaq, and it usually features financial industry opinion leaders.
Freedom Holding Corp.'s CEO highlighted the Eastern European brokerage industry had changed a lot, increasing ten-fold in just five years. Millions of new clients seeking for profitable investment opportunities flocked to this market, as they saw stock markets might bring more profits than fixed yield instruments.
Beginner investors are very much interested in IPOs and other risky instruments, Turlov said; it's only after months or years when they start diversify their portfolios.
Turlov also mentioned Freedom Holding Corp. educational services the company provides both to investors in online and offline events and to company employees that work with the clients.
When talking about Freedom Holding growth drivers, Mr. Turlov highlighted both low deposit interest rates offered by banks and great stock market numbers. This trend may well continue into 2021, with the access to US markets offered by the holding being in line with it.
